Arguably 2010′s biggest hyped debut act, Sleigh Bells are gearing up for the release of their sophomore album Reign Of Terror. While this time it might take more than just a ton of hype and a guitar with the compression set to 11 to keep us interested, “Comeback Kid” should buy them some time. The interplay between Alexis’ voice and the bells is lined up just right, and once those two are contrasted with the impossibly aggressive guitars we’re left with another solid union of noise and pop. And sure, the video isn’t much more than different shots of Alexis in various states of leather jacket (and a bit of mustard shopping), but I’m willing to give them a pass on this one as long as she promises to never die her hair blonde again. Stick with the black girl. It’s just more… you.
